How to add a new user in Windows Server 2012 R2

Hello friends! We continue to share the usefulness, and today we will tell you how to create a new user in Windows Server 2012 R2 and add it to the Remote Desktop Users group.

1. Right-click on the menu Start (Start), and then click Computer Management (Computer Management).

2. In the window that opens, select the tab Utilities (System Tools)> Local Users (Local Users and Groups).

3. Right-click on Users (Users), and then click New user (New User).

4. Fill in the fields at the top of the user creation window: computer technical support

User (User name) - the name that will be used to login.

Full name - the name that will be displayed on the welcome screen.

Description - description of the account.

5. Set and confirm a password. Don't forget the complexity requirements .

6. If necessary, enable or disable the following functions:

User must change password at next logon (User must change password at next logon ). This item is selected by default. Deselect it if you want to keep the password you just specified. Otherwise, the user will have to change the password the first time they log in.

Prohibit the user from changing the password (User cannot change password). Here everything is also clear by the name, if you don't want the user to change the password himself - activate it.

The password never expires (Password never expires) This question we have already touched on in a previous publication . If there is a need to periodically change passwords, enable this function.

Disable the account (Account is disabled) If you activate this function, the user can not log on. We leave it as it is.

7. Click Create .

8. You can find the new user in the Users tab . To change this or other settings, just click on the name of the right mouse button and select Properties (Properties).

9. In the properties window select the desired settings and do not forget to confirm them by clicking OK and Apply in all open windows.

10. To enable the user to connect to a remote desktop, click the Group Membership tab .

11. Click the Add (Add)> Advanced (Advanced)> search (Find Now).

12. Find the Remote Desktop Users group and click OK .

13. Click OK in all open windows , and Apply in the last one.
